On the 29th of September OOS Gretha successfully completed a subsea lift of a gangway that was broken off several months ago in Campos Basin, Brazil. The OOS Gretha is a modern semi-submersible accommodation crane vessel equipped with two Huisman cranes of 1800T each and accommodation for 618 persons on board. Client Petrobras requested OOS International to assist with the recovery.
For this activity the OOS Gretha disconnected from the production platform to safely execute the operation according to the highest standards. After lifting the gangway, the module was placed on deck of the vessel to prepare the gangway for transport ashore. The OOS Gretha returned to the production platform in order to continue with the renovation and maintenance operations on the platform.
